The WACTC is an award winning Regional Career Center that delivers hands-on, real-world, relevant skills through highly engaging and rigorous Career and Technical (CTE) training. Our 10 CTE programs and two new pathways allow students to explore a wide range of options for their future. All students earn college credits, real-world work-based learning experiences, and industry credentials that will help students find employment! Many students are able to work in their chosen field while still in high school.
In addition, select students may participate in our elite P-TECH Computer Science program. P-TECH allows students to earn significant college credits, up to an Associates Degree in the computer science field! P-TECH is partnered with CVS and our 3 state colleges, Community College of Rhode Island, University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College, offering students access to industry mentors, college credits, and employable skills. P-TECH students benefit from having the same teacher for their entire four year high school experience.
Because the WACTC has limited spots, we encourage students to apply early! We accept student who demonstrate excellent attendees and have limited disciple issues. Therefore, from the date of the application, please make sure you are in school daily and are free from discipline issues.
