Substitute Application Process

SUBSTITUTE APPLICATION PROCESS

Anyone interested in substituting as a teacher, teacher assistant, custodian, secretary, or lunch aide, is invited to apply on School Spring. All applications MUST be completed online as we no longer offer paper applications. If you do not have access to a computer, there are computers available for use at the McFee Administration Building, please call 401-767-4600 to set up an appointment.

Once your application is submitted it, it will be reviewed by a member of Human Resources and, if qualified, you will be contacted by a member of our staff for new hire paperwork and a request form to conduct a National Background Check (BCI). BCI's can be completed at the Attorney General’s Office located in Cranston (walk-in) or by some local police departments (please check with your local police department if they process national, and if appointments are required). Woonsocket Police Department does process National BCI requests for city residents. Please call 401-766-1212, as appointments are required. There is a fee associated with the BCI, which is at the employees own expense.

Thank you for your interest in working in the Woonsocket School District.
