PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Nationally certified and accredited by Print Ed this field of study remains the third largest industry in the world.   Most things that you come in contact with during your day are printed in some form or another. The Graphics/Printing program is operated as a production facility.  It provides an ideal setting for students to pursue studies in graphic design, desktop publishing, copy preperation, process camera work, offset printing, and bindery techniques.


 
FACILITIES:
The lab consists of an up-to-date computer lab with Internet connections and graphics software, a spacious darkroom, offset printing presses, as well as complete bindery equipment.

CURRENT HAPPENINGS:
Students in the Graphics/Printing program work on actual production work, printing such items for the Woonsocket School Department as letterheads, envelopes, brochures, forms, etc.  Students also have the opportunity to work with screenprinting for fabrics, such as t-shirts.

FUTURE HAPPENINGS:
Students will continue with the production work.  Field trips to local industries are in progress. Students will have the opportunity to concentrate on specific areas of the industry.

CERTIFICATE OPTIONS: 
Nationally certified and accredited by Print Ed the Graphics/Printing program is futher investigating affiliations with a number of printing organizations, including Graphic Arts Technical Foundation and the Providence Club of Printing Craftsmen.
