2012 Future Chef Cook-off Competition

Sodexo in Woonsocket will be hosting our 2nd Annual Future Chef Cook-off Competition. This year the cook-off is open to all Woonsocket Middle School students. The idea behind this fun and exciting event is to encourage and educate students in healthy eating habits. Students have submitted recipes for their Favorite Healthy Breakfast Dish and 18 finalists will now compete at the cook-off.

On Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, at the Woonsocket Middle School at Hamlet, the finalists will prepare their recipes with the help of a trained Sodexo staff member. The students will each prepare one show plate for the judges, and 50 samples for guests to enjoy. An esteemed panel of judges will determine the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Future Chef Winners.

The Woonsocket event is just one of many local Future Chef Competitions that Sodexo will be hosting across the country in February and March. The winning recipe from each district will be entered in a state competition, hoping to move into the regionals and finally reach the national competition.

The Sodexo Woonsocket Future Chef Cook-off Competition 2011-2012 is open to family, friends and the whole community. So come have a fun, exciting Saturday and cheer on your Future Chef Finalists!
