Substitute Application Process

SUBSTITUTE APPLICATION PROCESS

Anyone interested in substituting as a teacher, teacher assistant, custodian, secretary, or lunch aide, is invited to visit the Woonsocket Education Department McFee Administration Building at 108 High Street on a Tuesday or Thursday between 2:00 and 4:00 pm or on a Wednesday or Friday between 8:00 and 10:00 am to pick up an application. 


Once the full application is completed, it may be returned to the same location within the same timeframe. Please be sure to bring with you a valid driver’s license with either your social security card, your birth certificate, or a current passport. You will then be contacted to set up an interview with a district administrator. 


Upon successful appointment the Human Resources Officer will instruct you to complete a National Background Check (BCI) done at the Attorney General’s Office located in Cranston or your local police department.
