Strategic Planning Committee

    All citizens of the community are invited to become members of the Woonsocket Education Dept. district-wide Strategic Planning Committee. The Purpose of the committee is to develop a long-range strategic plan designed to continue and to further promote educational improvement and to reform in Woonsocket's Public Schools.
    The Strategic Planning Committee is intended to be inclusive and foster the involvement of as many segments of the Woonsocket community as possible including representatives from businesses, industry, community organizations, school administrators, teachers, parents, political leaders, students and other concerned citizens.
    While it is expected that the Strategic Planning Committee will draft its own mission statement and establish its own goals and objectives, we anticipate that its primary function will to be to facilitate improvement in the overall quality of public education in our city. We hope to maintain the Strategic Planning Committee as an ongoing strong, viable leadership orientated group. Improvements and reform in education are positive meaningful goals for the Woonsocket Public Schools as it faces the new millennium.
